Location
Description
The Hague Beeklaan forms a long axis along the centre of The Hague, as a bearer of urban identity. The undertaking of a project along this axis was a major challenge in terms of architectural quality. At the section between the Loosduinseweg and Vinkesteijnstraat, where the original development had already been demolished, Bouwfonds realised one of the most talked-about inner city projects in The Hague: to resurrect the traditional Hague architecture of the residential buildings of former times and to give the Beeklaan a new look. At the corner of the Loosduinseweg there is a six-storey high-rise building that is recognisable by its striking tower. The main building contains apartments, including a penthouse in the tower, which literally and figuratively forms the crown of this project, with authentic Hague grandeur. The other four blocks - each four-storeys high - contain apartments and town houses.
