Urban development plan

Nantes is a city of art and history, which manages to balance economic development with a pleasant living environment. The historic district of Ilôt Boucherie, which is just a short distance from the town hall, was somewhat lost from sight for a long time. In part due to the realisation of the Ilôt Boucherie project by Bouwfonds Marignan, an apartment building with 35 homes, the district has undergone a revival in recent years. The project, built on a fallow piece of land, is now a showpiece in the historic city centre of Nantes. With its striking obtuse angle and unusual architecture, besides homes on the ground floor, the building also offers space for shops. As a result, the building contributes to the appeal and liveliness of the district. At the centre of the complex is a small inner garden that provides an oasis of peace and quiet.
