Description

In the La Confluence area in Lyon, where the rivers Rhône and Saône meet, one of the most ambitious urban renewal projects in Europe is being realised. In a dilapidated industrial district that formerly housed now obsolete companies, Bouwfonds Marignan is responsible for a large part of the redevelopment to a dynamic urban district. Lyon Islands, part of a large-scale restructuring programme, is now the showpiece of the city. The area development comprises 291 homes. Situated in the heart of La Confluence, it offers a wonderful view of the quay, the park and the peninsula. The airy, spacious apartments have two to six rooms. All indoor and outdoor facilities are of the highest quality, including the very latest technical gadgets in the area of residential living. Moreover, Lyon Islands meets the HQE® sustainability requirements and the innovative European programme, Concerto. This means that a sustainable project has been realised, which is fully integrated in the unique, surrounding landscapes.

In 2007, The French Federation of Project Developers awarded the Lyon Islands with a prize for sustainable residential living (Prix du Logement durable), the prize for the most sustainable project with the most pleasant living environment (Prix de la Qualité de Vie au Naturel) and the regional prize (Grand Prix Régional).
