Alster Ensemble en Park Ensemble
Hamburg
Restructuring or redevelopment • Urban areas • Completion • < 50 properties

Location
Description
On the former site of a stonecutter's yard in the Alsterdorf district of Hamburg, Bouwfonds Immobilienentwicklung developed the Alster Ensemble. The project consists of four residential buildings with inner gardens, which also serve as meeting places for the residents. Parking is in underground garages, so that the public space is completely car free. Because of the open, park-like building method, the Alster Ensemble fits in nicely with the existing surroundings. During realisation of the Alster Ensemble project, in collaboration with the developer, Voigt & Ohler, Bouwfonds purchased the adjacent lot. This enabled the project to expand with another three apartment complexes, the Park Ensemble. In urban development and architectural respects, they form a harmonious whole with the Alster Ensemble. The white stucco fronts, large balconies and green copper panels give the homes an austere, modern look. The wide diversity of home types has attracted a differentiated group of buyers.
